Job Summary Statement Aveng Trident Steel centrally situated in Roodekop, Germiston and other facilities in Alrode, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Rosslyn and Cape Town provide a wide product range to the steel industry in South Africa as well as internationally from their extensive steel yards, modern and comprehensive steel processing and steel service centers, specialty steel division and tube manufacturing plant.

The incumbent will be responsible to answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors and other interested parties. Provide information regarding activities conducted at establishment location of departments, offices and employees within organisation.

• A certificate in administration /secretarial
• Grade 12

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ practical work experience in the listed KPAs
• Basic Experience with MS office (word, excel, PowerPoint & email)

Duties & Responsibilities • Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, forward calls, provide information, take messages and schedule appointments
• Responsible for assisting management with faxing, emailing and courier of documents and parcels
• Provide required administrative support (typing memos, updating notice boards)
• Keep the front desk clean and tidy
• Welcome visitors and assist in providing professional customer care and support
• Adhere to safety and security procedures for employees and visitors entering the front desk / reception area
Knowledge Skills & Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Has a polite and friendly disposition
• A working knowledge of MS Office
• Has previous exposure in operating a switchboard and / or reception desk
• Displays good customer service skills
