Job description
A reputable PR and communication consultancy which specialises in consumer public relations for well-known local and international consumer brands, service orientated businesses and professionals, is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and highly organised PR account executive. The candidate must have a minimum of two to three years’ PR experience, preferably in a PR agency. The person must ensure that communication strategies are implemented successfully, timeously and efficiently. Sound experience in media, influencer and blogger relations as well as social media management is vital. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite and candidates will be asked to do writing tests. Additional tasks include research, evaluation, media monitoring, status and contact reports, compiling of accurate cost estimates and co-ordination of brand activations. Requirements
- Degree or three-year diploma in communication and/or PR
- Two or three years’ PR experience is imperative, preferably in a PR agency
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Adobe PhotoShop)
- Social media experience
- Strong admin skills
- Must be pro-active and take initiative
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
