Job description

As a sales executive for Four Quarters Design Studio, you will be responsible for selling our portfolio of exhibition stand solutions which includes innovative and exclusive products, components and systems.

You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities in order to continue the growth of our company.

  • Responsible for new business development with a set monthly target
  • Research to find the latest information on exhibitions, trade shows, and medical congresses happening in and around Cape Town as well as through-out South Africa
  • Creatively look for ways to attain new clients in the exhibition and shop-fitting industry
  • Conduct telephonic and email surveys to acquire information for various exhibitions
  • Network with various organisations, venues, and companies to acquire information related to the industry and exhibitions
  • Cold Call telephonically to generate new business
  • Canvass exhibitions and events to generate new business through networking
  • Maintain an exhibition and event, as well as a lead and client database
  • Obtain accurate and comprehensive design briefs from incoming and self-generated leads
  • Brief in designs to the design studio and manage timelines with prospective clients
  • Brief completed designs into production for costing
  • Submit sales proposals to prospective clients
  • Close sales with focus on up-selling
  • Liaise with client and internal departments during projects
  • Client management
  • Handover of completed projects to clients – quality control
  • Aftersales customer relations

  • Good written communication skills and ability to communicate well, at all level with strong ability to persuade
  • Good computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of internet search engines, and ability to conduct extensive and thorough online research
  • Client database would be advantageous

  • Understanding of the exhibition and event industry in South Africa
  • Understanding of 3D design and graphics
