Job summary statement/purpose:
To rotate within the underwriting function and gaining understanding of the company’s underwriting
philosophy.
Upon completion of the programme the graduate would have acquired the following skills:
1. Underwriting
Reviewing terms and conditions of products on an ongoing basis
Reviewing rates annually
Assist with documentation related to the underwriting plan
Collating research on new products
Updating of wordings and regulations
Updating Excess of Loss information/ details
Liaise with Finance department to ensure that Excess of Loss premium balances to the Insurance Management System (IMS)

Assist with the preparation of monthly underwriting reports
2. Re-insurance function
Preparation of Sasria treaty renewals
o Assist with preparing treaty renewal data
o Assist with the gathering of data as requested by the Actuarial department
3. Training & Library
Provide education through various platforms on Sasria products to clients/agents, ensuring
basic understanding of Sasria’s role in the market
Compile training material (manuals & presentations)
Conduct national road shows on Sasria products
Continuously review product information to ensure its relevance
4. Risk management
Identify risks and emerging risks
Contribute in establishing required controls to mitigate operational risk
5. Ad hoc duties
Perform any reasonable tasks in line with the role, as and when required by the Line Manager
Minimum requirements:
Tertiary qualification i.e. Insurance related qualification.
